I have been diving for many years. A passionate diver, diving is not just a hobby for me — it is a discipline I take seriously, with the equipment to match.
UNDA was born from that passion. The desire to create an accessory designed down to the last detail, useful on every dive, and well enough made to never need replacing.
An underwater communication tool
The diving shaker is one of the most underestimated pieces of kit. Yet its usefulness is daily. As a guide or instructor, calling back a beginner who has strayed from the group, fallen behind, gone the wrong way or drifted too far from their buddy — every dive leader knows that situation. The shaker is the simplest and most effective way to restore visual contact through acoustic signal.
For experienced divers, it is something else entirely: drawing a buddy’s attention to a passing manta ray, a distant shark, a nudibranch hidden in the coral, a sudden school of fish — those moments you want to share that disappear in seconds if no one is looking the right way. And then there is the most everyday use: reminding a distracted buddy it is time to check their air. A simple gesture, but one that is part of the discipline of every well-run dive team.
The choice of materials
At UNDA, the choice was clear from the start: 316 marine grade stainless steel, from the body to the carabiner. No compromise. It is the same standard used in professional equipment exposed to marine environments — corrosion-resistant, long-lasting, and pleasant to hold.

A customisable sound
Every diver has their own preferences. That is why the UNDA Diving Shaker comes with two ball sizes — 10mm and 12mm — interchangeable in seconds thanks to the magnetic base. A deeper tone, a higher pitch, more intensity depending on conditions and personal taste.
And to go further, the system accepts any standard ball from the market — the two sets included are just the starting point. Every diver can dial in their own sound, to suit their preferences and dive conditions.
